Beyond fact-checking, Pravda engages in various activities that contribute to its mission of promoting trustworthy journalism and media literacy. We actively produce educational posts that delve into disinformation, the psychology of news consumption, and the challenges and pitfalls of navigating social media. These educational initiatives are designed to empower our readers with the tools to discern factual information from falsehoods. In our commitment to fostering media literacy, especially among the younger generation, we have partnered with institutions like the WHO, "Ja, Nauczyciel" Foundation, or other fact-checking organizations such as the Foundation "Counteracting Disinformation". Through these collaborations, we have worked alongside 300 teachers and have impacted over 20,000 students from all around Poland. Notably, our fully online educational program has been successful in significantly enhancing students' digital literacy skills. Our multifaceted approach goes beyond just fact-checking, encompassing media literacy programs, educational content, partnerships, and outreach initiatives that collectively aim to foster a well-informed and discerning readership.

Our organization is also dedicated to producing top-notch investigative journalism pieces. We've delved into revealing the mechanisms behind how disinformation actors profit using platforms like Google Ads. Our team has critically analyzed the financial sources behind leading Polish anti-vaxxers, highlighting their financial motivations. Moreover, we've identified malpractices of specific digital influencers who falsely claim to be medical professionals to promote pseudoscientific messages, thereby misleading the public. These are just a few examples demonstrating how we built upon our fact-checking operations.

Our association doesn't just create written content, we also produce short videos that are engaging and easy to share on various platforms. We use fact-graphics, a slide-like format, to provide factual information and dispel misinformation about topics like the situation in Ukraine. We collaborated with European organizations to develop this innovative approach. This format has been successful in quickly conveying accurate information to a wider audience.

Over the upcoming year, Pravda has outlined clear goals for our fact-checking operation, rooted in our strong emphasis on education and informed citizenship.

Firstly, we aim to evolve the nature of our fact-checking articles. Instead of solely passing judgments on the veracity of information, we are dedicated to transforming them into educational tools. Our objective is to elucidate various techniques and methods within our content, empowering readers not just passively to consume information but to engage, discern, and apply critical thinking actively. By doing so, we intend our articles to serve as practical guides that instill fact-checking skills within our readership.

Additionally, while determining the truthfulness of claims is vital, we intend to shift our focus from a binary 'true or false' approach to addressing gaps in public knowledge. By providing context, background, and a deeper understanding of issues, we can bridge informational voids and foster a well-rounded, informed readership.

Accountability is another cornerstone of our goals for the next years. We aspire to ensure that our fact-checking articles don't just highlight misinformation but also drive consequential actions. By holding sources accountable for their claims, we aim to foster an atmosphere where credibility and responsibility in information dissemination are paramount.

In essence, Pravda's goals for the coming year revolve around enhancing the educational value of our content, ensuring accountability, and addressing specific areas of misinformation pertinent to our audience and the global community.

I. ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY In order to apply to the EFCSN, your fact-checking operation must first meet the criteria outlined in Chapter 5.2 of the Code.

3.2.F. Put in place measures that aim to address the risk of trauma or harassment experienced by staff as a result of the operation’s activities, including but not limited to providing training to prevent and identify symptoms.

3.3.A. Correct every known mistake promptly with a correction note in the same publication in which the error was made; if the error is only typographical, grammatical or stylistic, a correction note is not needed.

3.3.B. When the original publication in which the mistake was made is not editable, disseminate the correction in the same format and channel as the original so that as far as possible users of the original see the correction and the corrected version.

3.3.E. Make available and easily accessible on their websites a corrections policy and a record of the corrections published over the previous year in the first application for EFCSN membership and of the previous two years upon renewal.
